1. Acceptance of these Terms
By installing or using AsalBook (the “App”), published by Duttatech Solutions (Tapas Dutta, proprietor), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. What the App is
- AsalBook is a record book on your Android phone for money you give to people you know and the money that comes back: interest worked out from the terms you enter, instalments, money without interest, items kept as security, statements, receipts and reminders.
- AsalBook only keeps your records. It does not lend money and does not offer, arrange, advertise or recommend loans, and Duttatech Solutions (Tapas Dutta, proprietor) is not a party to any arrangement between you and the people in your book.
- Keeping records in AsalBook does not replace any licence or registration your state may require for lending money. You are responsible for following the laws that apply to you, including money-lending laws and any limits on interest.
- Balances, interest, statements and receipts are worked out from what you enter and the options you choose. Check them before you rely on them or share them.
3. No account
The App needs no account with us. You protect it with a PIN (and fingerprint, if you choose). Google sign-in is used only for backup to your own Google Drive and for Google Play purchases.
4. Free days, plans and payment
- Every feature is free for the first 45 days. After that, a plan keeps adding and editing open: ₹59 per month or ₹499 per year, in Indian rupees, as shown on Pricing. Google Play shows the final price, with taxes, before you pay.
- Plans are sold only through Google Play, under Google Play’s payment terms. We do not take payments any other way.
- Plans renew automatically until you cancel them in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. A cancelled plan stays active till the end of the period you paid for.
- Without an active plan after the free days the App becomes read-only: you can still see, share and back up every record, and nothing is deleted.
- Refunds follow our Refunds & Cancellations policy and Google Play’s refund rules.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the App for anything unlawful, including recording people’s information without the consent your law requires, or harassing anyone with the reminders you send; and not to copy, resell or reverse-engineer the App except as the law allows.
6. Your data
Your records belong to you and stay on your phone, as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for keeping backups and for keeping your PIN safe: a backup cannot be opened without the PIN, and we cannot recover it for you.
7. Intellectual property
The App, its design and content (excluding your data) belong to Duttatech Solutions (Tapas Dutta, proprietor). You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use it.
8. Limitation of liability
- The App is provided “as is”. We work to keep it accurate and available but do not guarantee it is free of errors.
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, disputes between you and the people in your book, or data lost on a device that was not backed up.
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first at tapasdutta@outlook.com so we can try to resolve any issue. If it is not resolved within 30 days, it shall be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 of India.
10. Changes
We may change these Terms. Significant changes will be shown in the App or on this page with a new date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
