Refunds & Cancellations

What you are buying

The AsalBook plan keeps adding and editing open after the 45 free days. It costs ₹59 per month or ₹499 per year, in Indian rupees, and renews automatically until you cancel it. Google Play shows the final price, with taxes, before you pay.

How you pay

Only through Google Play, from Settings → Plan in the app. Google Play takes the payment (UPI, cards, net banking or Play balance, as Google offers them) and handles every renewal. AsalBook and Duttatech Solutions (Tapas Dutta, proprietor) never see your payment details, and there is no other way to pay.

Cancelling

• Open Google Play → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → AsalBook → Cancel subscription.
• Uninstalling the app does not cancel the plan; cancel it in Google Play.
• The plan stays active till the end of the period you have paid for, and no further charge is made. After that the app becomes read-only: you can still see, share and back up every record, and nothing is deleted.

Refunds

• Within 48 hours of a payment you can ask Google for a refund yourself: in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Budget & history, or through Google Play’s refund request page. Google decides these requests.
• After 48 hours, write to tapasdutta@outlook.com within 7 days of the charge with the Google Play order number (it starts with GPA., and is in your Google Play receipt email). We refund through Google Play when:
  • a payment was charged in error (for example charged twice, or charged after you had cancelled), or
  • the plan was paid for but did not unlock in the app and we could not fix it.
• Payments are not refunded for unused time when you cancel part-way through a month or a year.
• An approved refund goes back to the original payment method through Google Play. How long it takes to reach you depends on the payment method; Google Play Help lists the times.

Price changes

If the price of a plan changes, Google Play tells you before the new price applies at a renewal, as Google Play’s rules require.
